So I had some success with the complaint process where the disupte process failed.
1. Equifax - they deleted two accounts that have been reporting wrong (Macy's Store and Macy's Amex). Discover is still incorrect, they validated the debt is mine but my complaint was for wrong information. I updated the complaint to point out the wrong information again (closed date, account is marked as late but not IIB). Score went from 668 to 683 this month after updates, AAoA changes and new tradelines.
2. Experian - they deleted one account (Macy's store). They updated the Macy's Amex incorrectly yet again and Discover is still an issue. The Macy's EO called me back and she said that I'm not the first person that they've fixed the account on their side and EX still reports wrong. Discover comments are false and the account still needs to reflect a $0 balance. Score is holding at 670.
3. Transunion - they also deleted the Macy's store account. The Macy's Amex and Discover are still an issue (go figure). The accounts are closed with no mention of IIB but they have derog information on the status. I also have a Chase business account on this report only. I'm going to see if I can dispute it - it says it's an individual account but this was a business card. I might not have any luck, but it's worth a shot. Not sure why the other two reports do not have this account? Score up 1 point to 659.
I updated the complaints on EQ an EX, but I need to call TU later today. One step forward and one step sideways is what it feels like. I have no issue with them reporting the good, bad or ugly it just needs to be correct information.
