No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
My guess is that the OP's post must have been deleted for violation of forum rules, and the top 2 posts here are just remnants of that thread.
I don't think lg8302ch and Pistol1 are crazy (at least not based on this thread).

Right now I would also recommend Cap1 QS1 but once your report and scores are updated it might give other options. What would also help is to know how you use your card. In which categories do you spend most. Are you looking for rewards and PIF your card or rather looking for low APR to carry a balance. Possibly a local credit union.
Agree. Wait for your scores to update once those medical collections go away. Check the Chase, Cap 1, any other card you are interested in prequal sites. Research the best fit for you. Don't go crazy on store cards but if it is a place you use and the benefits are worth it a few store cards are fine. Once you get what you need the garden, garden, garden, and watch your score increase. you might want to also consider some type of instalment loan in the future. Good luck!!!
Where's the original post?
uups... that is what happens if you do not reply with QUOTE ... my fault ..edited my reply and added the QUOTE....so hopefully my reply makes more sense now.
The original post is in rebuilding your credit (I think),
One of the mods broke off for a new direction (though personally, should still be rebuilding).
Here is the first part:

As to suggestions: skip the store card, start a relationship with a local credit union, or join sdfcu.
Get a secured installment loan for four years from either alliant credit union or local with 500. Payments can be set to auto, pay between 10 or 11 per month.
Take 500 check they give you from loan, open up secured card with same local credit union or sdfcu.
Apply for quicksilver card, take what they give you (try for the no annual fee version first, take the annual fee version if offered).
You Now have three revolvers and an installment loan with very little DTI. (My DTI on my loan is listed at less than 1% of income, banks like that).
Should see being score increase within six months. Until you get tax lien off, baddie will keep you below 700.
Thank you for the replies.
@Anonymous wrote:Your scores are in the mid 600's I would suggest apping for the 'no fee' QS card from Capital One.
Thank you for the advice, Norman - I am considering that option, too.
I am totally confused on where I should have posted now, lol.

I would separate the questions. Once you have your reports updated with accurate Fico scores and look for credit card advice I would place it in the CC boards for more replies on the CC questions. For your mortgage questions into that section and if it just to ask how to improve the scores in general then in rebuilding. The thread got moved because you had to bump it up as not much replies to your CC questions when it was in Rebuilding. So it is always a bit difficult to find the right place with multiple questions.
Thank you.
