Chevy Volt

Personally, I see this as depressing and not worth the money, what do you guys think?

Now the Tesla, though twice as expensive, is actually appealing...

Re: Chevy Volt

Despite the Tesla being very apealing, it's still out of the price range for many.

I'm not too knowledgable about why it's that much but so far I have only seen two of them on the highway in MA/NH.

One of them with Mass plate 'NIKOLA' ..very cool Smiley Happy

The 60kwh only has an EPA range of 206 miles and the supercharger stations (free) are not anywhere close to me. Closest is connecticut which is about 1.5 hours drive.

Re: Chevy Volt

Dang, yeah that doesn't sound too practical out there, I live in Indy so right in the middle of a city. It would be easier to charge, plus like you said they look really nice =) the volt just doesn't appeal to me functionally or aesthetically. The Tesla is a functional and aesthetic beast! I never drive more than 110 miles at a time, and not too often. But my drives to work are about an hour and ten minutes a day, so a purely electric would be pretty useful versus a hybrid.
