Just saw a couple leaving Starbucks and the dude left her hanging.
Wow that could be dangerous/potentially fatal at Fivebucks. Major potential for hot beverage spillage and/or scalding.....
Yes, I would almost always hold a door for someone I was with.
My father was a gentleman. I've opened doors even for people who probably didn't deserve it.

Almost always, yes. I had an ex girlfriend that would get mad at me for doing it, claiming I was flirting with them. And that's part of the reason why she's my ex.
Always
Absolutely... I also get burnt for holding the door too long sometimes.
I am female, but I always hold the door open for people coming behind me or for elderly people. I will go out of my way to help someone who is in some way challenged (visually impaired, wheelchair or walker user, carrying an armful of things, stroller, etc...)
As a female, I apppreciate the gesture whenever it is offered, and I will say thank you.

ditto
I too find myself always holding the door open for anyone who is around it's just common curdousy if you ask me. Then again I ususally still say Yes Sir No Sir or ma'am everywhere I go too. Just the way I was raised I guess. I also find that people for the most part not always tend to treat you a little better also when you do that!
