thanks for sharing this!!! I love Pacman and Ms. Pacman. Ahh brings back teenage memories...
Oh, many hours of studying were wasted in College at the Laundromat while I was playing PacMan...it really was my stress reliever. Is it and aniversary or something? I came accross it about 1 hour ago, cracked me up...especially the sound. I have a download on my IPOD for it, but I am now terrible!
I loved when I was able to get the all the ghost stuck!!

Yep, I saw that. I remember very well the cool music and sound effects from when it came out while I was an undergraduate. We had a game room in the Student Union, about half old-fashioned electro-mechanical pinball machines and about half video games. Pinball machines now are much less interesting IMHO because they added too many video features and so forth, not the same!
Well, the Pac Man Google Doodle is gone from the main page tonight.
But wait...there's more!!
Google has decided to keep Pac Man around for a while, on its own special page: http://www.google.com/pacman/
(I must have played it fifty times already since they first put it up. I didn't realize how much I missed it 'til I played it again!)

At least neither of us had to spend any actual quarters, we just had to click "Insert Coin." But I still miss the opening music...
I wonder if there's going to be any anniversary surprises from Google for "Pong" or "Space Invaders"... maybe those would be a little too far back for them?
I'd go for Donkey Kong...or Frogger. Of course, made me think of the Seinfeld episode where they find the Frogger machine.
