Dept of ED...after the shut down.

Has anyone had any kind of success in challenging the information on your CR after the Dept of Ed (Direct Loan Services) shut down. I have had so many incorrect dates, wrong balances, loans being transferred all over the place, duplicate loans showing up on reports under different amounts and different account numbers.

I had a number of accounts with Dept. of ED that had been reporting incorrectly. My loans were in forebearance and lates were reported a couple of years ago. All of them were removed last week after iniating an online dispute. It did take the full 30 days on EX and EQ, but the lates are now gone. TU only took a couple of days, if I remember correctly. FYI, TU removed the whole TL. EQ and EX just removed the lates. I assume the Dept. of ED did not respond to the request to verify, so the lates were removed.
