Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

Even though I haven't gotten the name of who has picked up my rehabbed loans I am going to start the dispute process online with EQ and TU. I was told it was better to do the EX over the phone.

I opened up the websites to start the process but am unsure exactly how to go about it. For one, I have too many accounts on there to keep track of! (My fault for having multiple accts/student loans)

Am not sure what categories or boxes to check under the dispute portions on the sites.

What do I say exactly as my reasoning.explanation?

"Finished rehabbing acct on "insert date" and request the current tradeline/loan reporting be stricken from my file/record?" Or something along those lines??

Thanks again guys : )

Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

Great - thanks!

I completed disputing 5 of my rehabbed SL's online with TU.

Tried to do it online with EQ but the system shut me out and said to try back later....

Going to call EX during my lunch break today

Besides these 5 rehabbed loans there is 1 extra loan still being rehabbed that didn't get put in the 1st round for some dumb reason that I can't dispute until January.

2 BOA private loans with my mom that somehow went into a C/O status (I think my mom WAS paying on them but not enough for their liking so they closed both accounts)

5 out of 9 Wells Fargo private loans that were closed/defaulted due to the same payment reason with my mom (she was paying on them but somehow the payments didn't get credited to all the accounts equally...long story, big headache).

We are currently paying on the 4 that are in good standing and they're offering settlement options on the negative 5. I currently am sitting on those since I can't pay them off at the moment.

It seems like an excessive amount of loans but most of them are for little amounts (I went off and on to school for a period of about 8 years) and I had academic issues due to anxiety/depression that got me into the mess of private student loans with my mom.

*Sucks but I'm trying to fix the damage one step at a time thanks to this board : )

I'm very hesitant to get excited about a huge point increase due to still lots of negatives in my files. Also, I'm trying to get a car loan in the meantime which is not the most fun process : (

Currently my scores are:

EX: 582 (through Credit Check Total)

TU: 601 (through Credit Check Total)

EQ: 584 (through Credit Check Total)

EQ: 630 (dealership told me)

TU 598 (Cap1 credit card)

Looking forward to this journey in reclaiming a good credit file and can't wait to post my updates!

Thanks again for all the support guys : )

Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

Hey good luck to you , I know exactly how you feel , it's been a LONG AND STRESSFUL YEAR of repairing and building credit for my fiancé and I just so we can get a decent car loan without paying a crazy amount of interest. We got instantly approved with USAA just a few days ago and for a pretty decent rate considering we still have some issues to work out , but omg it feels like a load of bricks lifted off my chest where the new car is concerned and omg USAA was so easy and just great to work with , I'm would recommend them to anyone who could apply. It's spool easy the whole process was as painless as it could be . Anyways keep us posted on your results .

Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

SMALL UPDATE: So far Navient has reported my loan to Experian and it is back dated to the orginal date that it was opened in 2012 . So far my Experian score has increased by right at 30 pts . Still have one dispute left that they haven't completed yet which is for the tradeline that has 7 lates on it. Keeping my fingers crossed .

Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

OMG what an ordeal guys!

Just spent my whole lunch on the phone with 2 different EX reps - both not super helpful or even aware of what I was trying to get accomplished Smiley Sad

I'm crossing my fingers that this works out since I'm not sure if I even disputed it correctly. The last guy I spoke with told me to expect a letter in the mail within 30 days informing me of the results - I should be able to find out online earlier than that if the process worked tho right?

Any insight/advice?

Do I just wait and see if anything changes on my report?

Re: Finished SL Rehab UPDATE!!

What kind of monitoring service do you have if any ? Credit check total is how I keep up with any daily changes to my EX report
