Hi
First time poster and thought I would solicit some help from the experts.
My FICO 615
spouse FICO 625
I have one open CC with a balance that I am working to pay off within 1-2 years. I make the monthly payments. I am looking at getting a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Was pre approved by Capital One at 9%.
-With my credit score is an interest rate between 5.99%-7.25% attainable?
-Has anyone had any luck financing through Chrysler and getting a good rate with a similar FICO score?
Appreciate the help. Have a job that pay 6 figures.
Welcome to the forum. There are some real experts here. If I were you, I'd ask for advice improving your scores. If you have a card account you plan on paying over two years, I'm guessing you have high utilization. Maybe you could get a personal loan at lower interest to pay the card off. That would save money and boost scores.
To answer your question. With today's rates, 9% isn't terrible with your current scores. To achieve 5.99%-7.25% might be a tuff ask at the moment. I would recommend working to better your scores. Buying now if you must and working on your scores to refiinance later isn't a bad option as well if you have to purchase now.
Considering your score is under 700...getting those "preferred" rates may be a stretch...even considering that Jeep is likely approving everyone it can that wants to buy a car these days.
While 9% is not ideal...with a 625 score...it doesn't seem egregious
