Re: Advice needed!

That's awesome! What kind of car? New or used?

You should help your mother with her credit for future solutions and for her sakes.

Never ever cosign a car loan for anyone.

Thank you to all that replied. I guess I just wanted to air out my grievances for those denials. But, I did just get a call back from the CU that we applied for and got an approval!!! We got 2.9% for 84 months. 😆

That is incredible!

Well done!

Now pick a car you're gonna keep for a while because those terms are extremely good!

I got 2.49 with TD Bank!   I don't think anyone can beat them.

Re: Advice needed!

It's going to be a new car. Honestly, I only agreed to become a co-applicant because I want them to get out of their current loan. But, since I'm really the one they're buying the car for, no complaints here! 😁

Re: Advice needed!

2.49% is really great! But, I'm pretty stoked that we got approved for what we asked for, so again, no complaints here. 😁

To protect yourself, make sure YOU are the one that pays the bank for this loan each and every month. You do want to be in control of the payment. If you elect auto pay, then make sure you check it each month, do not 'assume' the payment is made timely because you set it up as an auto pay.

Congrats on your great rate!  What a wonderful first loan. Come back here and post a pic of what you purchased Smiley Happy
