The OLD Insight was released in the US in 1999, 2 door, 2 seater, funny looking.... sold until 05 (i think) but only sold 18k units or so altogether...
The NEW Insight was released in Japan a couple months ago and has been a HUGE hit so far. I just looked at one at my local dealer yesterday, nice looking car. I think it will sell very well here as well...
I am looking at financing a Fit in the next couple weeks, we'll see how that goes...
Let me clarify (now that I know more). Honda has 4 credit tiers. 710 and above is super preferred and 660-709 is preferred. Due to the credit crisis, Honda Finance is currently offering the same special finance rates and lease rates to preferred customers as they do for super preferred customers. In other words, you only need a 660 Transunion to qualify for the "super preferred" rates until the current programs end.
Since your vehicle will not arrive until after the current program period ends (which is this Tuesday), you will not know your finance rate until the new programs come out.
HTH.
