Anybody know what Alliant pulls on car loans? Looking to purchase a Tesla and have a higher score with transunion. My Equifax and Experian have a collection that will be deleted within the next 30 days. Trying to see if I can apply now or if I need to wait until those collections are gone if they pull Equifax or Experian.
Not sure about a car loans but here in Caliburna they single pulled TU when I applied for a Heloc in the spring of this year.
The Pull TU in Oregon
They pulled TU for me in Florida
Just an update. I called this morning and they pull a vantage 4.0 model.......which is insane to me. My fico score is almost 100 points higher. I've never heard of anybody using vantage scores for loans.
This is the first I've heard of them pulling a Vantage score for any kind of credit-related decision. They have exclusively pulled from Transunion since 10/2017.
@coldfusion its still a transunion score, but transunion vantage score. I honestly think it's crap. Vantage scores have known to not really give a great score. That's why I asked them, because I use myFico and the score they have is nothing close to what I have. And she said they don't have an option to use anything else.
Forget Alliant. Go to Navy Federal or DCU for Tesla financing IMHO.
@Anonymous I don't trust anybody who uses a dang vantage score 😬. I applied navy fed but for some reason got denied. I'm waiting for the reason to come in the mail. They did just approved my husband and myself for credit cards. So, I was thinking maybe that's why. I'll look into DCU. I am also looking at RBFCU and PenFed. Do you happen to know what bureau DCU pulls?
@Cjethompson2017 Seriously, Vantage what what lol!!
My bro bought his Tesla thru Navy but the rate was better at DCU (by $6 a month). Navy probably just needs to have a but more history with you since you have new cards (sorry for the decline there). I think he said they use EQ Mortgage score (Fico 5) at DCU but some with more knowledge will weigh in to confirm.
I looked up the Tesla thread that @Anonymous started last month. There may be some additional info that is helpful there!
