Yes. Anyone can apply. If you don't qualify to be a member by residency or whatever, you can join one of the local organizations by a small donation on a one time basis to qualify for membership. I joined a few months ago and that is what I did. I believe it cost me $10, and a hardpull on EQ. I got savings and checking with a Visa debit card. I don't have direct deposit, nor do I have any loan products as yet. What I do have is a biweekly transfer from my local credit union to DCU to both my checking and savings accounts. That is initiated by DCU at no charge to me. I logged in to my homepage and found my EQ Fico score a couple days ago. Thought I had to have a loan to get that, but I guess not. I do believe I remember signing up for the Fico score online while on my account page though. I'm just leaving myself another option for an auto loan in the future, or possibly refinancing my current vehicle to a lower rate in the near future. Good luck.
