Am I overthinking this but haven't seen a lot of documentation on if requirements for a second car is any different. If i were leasing for myself, i would be blinking an eye. I would like to lease a BMW for my husband. Snapshot of my financial fundamentals:
FICO Auto score for both transunion and experian: 765
Income: 216k/yearly
DTI ratio: 21%
If this were my only lease, i wouldn't have second thoughts about approval. But because this would be a second car payment, should I be worried? Am i over thinking this?
Thank you in advance for your insight. Appreciate you.
As long as you keep the math In check you should be all good for a second ride.

As long as the salary and DTI is there it's not a problem usually. I've had 2 brand new cars and 3 Harley-Davidson motorcycles financed on 5 different auto loans at once. Salary at the time was $360K yearly
I know this is an older thread, but wanted to mention something I ran into. The only possible snag might be if you and P2 have a mortgage together. I am assuming the amount you listed was personal income, not household, so this is likely not a problem. When I tried to purchase a vehicle for my SO, I had to show that I could make the full mortgage payment plus auto loan from my salary alone and stay below whatever threshold (40%, 45%?) the financial institution dictated. Not sure you'll run into this, but thought it might be worth sharing.
Thank you for this. With mortgage and debt, my total dti with the added payment for his x3 will be 29%
I appreciate the feedback thanks
