MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: This is my secondary for fun vehicle.  Loan was not instant as I have fraud alert. Someone called me shortly after I applied at 8 pm. Asked me a few questions to verify identity and that I applied for the loan said she would send it for review and I would hear in 2 to 24 hours. I dont even think it was 5 minutes later when I got the email telling me I was approved. I have been a NFCU customer for about 5-6 years. I have a checking and savings and 2 CC's with 33K and 34K limits (Zero balance-I PIF each month).

That is a higher rate for a great score. Navy has 4.79 for new cars. If you can get in with them or are a current member.  I just got a used 2018 and got 5.59 rate. Congrats on your new car !

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Was initially with BofA due to dealer crud having to use their lender to get it out of door for 7.5k less as was special ordered for someone else and something feel through.  BofA approved me at best rate of 6.99 but after had car for week refinanced with NFCU which was consider new at 5.29 their best rate for term.  Also NFCU allow if rates get better after year to ask for lowest APR.  So win/win.  F&I can eat it as no prepayment penalty.  Another win for NFCU GAP was ony 399 and also $200 free promo for refinancing with them currentlySmiley Happy

Re: Auto Loan Approvals

$75,000 for an Acura is very steep imo, a Lexus would hold its value longer but i hope your savings and investing rate is higher than your car payment !
