MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:Loan payment actually includes add ons for credit life and disability. Before that payment was 512. Not sure what tu score they pulled. I can't find a match in all the versions I see. Regardless, bought car 1/25. They gave option of moving out payment 60 days. Chose that. As of 1/29. Already made 2 payments and paid 1/3 of loan off on an additional principle only payment. Cut 2 years intrest and earned points on down payment. Real easy to work with. Check overnight to dealer.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Truck MSRP for 56,840, Dealer discount of 9,802. add all of tax and fees +++ a 8year ,120,000 warranty for $2500[ Truck comes with a 5 year/100,000 bumper to bumper] Plus Gap $1500 I used up a lot of the discount, But still got $ 4665 discount off MSRP.
All dealers around me were only discounting 2-3 k max. Bought in Nashville Tn at Newton Nissan , deal was very straight up NO up selling
Had BIG Discounts on almost every auto.

As a general rule, you are most likely correct, however, there are exceptions; say, one lives with Mom and Dad, is about to graduate college with a degree which is in demand, but are still working in a pizza parlor or bicycle repair shop near their college campus. Granted this is an extreme edge case, but there are scenarios out there where financing a car equal to or even above one's annual income isn't necessarily a bad idea.
To be fair, I lived with my parents when I got my first car, but I was working at a part-time job where the minimum payment were my whole paycheck lol. My credit was very moderate and my interest rate for the used car was high. It was between 18-20 percent. Unfortunately my boss cut my hours and parents helped me to the point where they couldn't help me anymore. So my car got repoed and my score dropped to the 400s because of that. It was bad
It was definitely a bad mistake on my part.

you can get those products from your own insurance company for way way less.....warranty and gap is the upsell in F&I
Yes you can if your insurance company sells Gap, But my insurance company does not. State Farm, only way is to have the auto loan thur State farm. I already knew that, Dealer didn't ask , i did.
Warranty is a Nissan warranty for $2500 for 8 years 120000 miles bumper to bumper and yes i asked for it not the dealer. I have looked for extented warrantys that you have to deal with outside co's The numbers may be even better than most outside co's. Seen sum for like $32-3600 not as good. Thing is if i had bought near were i live the price on the truck was 5-6 K more and no way i would have got the Gap and extented warranty at all. I did have a plan to start with.
BCU does not pull FICO score. Rather, they pull VantageScore 4.0.

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Was initially with BofA due to dealer crud having to use their lender to get it out of door for 7.5k less as was special ordered for someone else and something feel through. BofA approved me at best rate of 6.99 but after had car for week refinanced with NFCU which was consider new at 5.29 their best rate for term. Also NFCU allow if rates get better after year to ask for lowest APR. So win/win. F&I can eat it as no prepayment penalty. Another win for NFCU GAP was ony 399 and also $200 free promo for refinancing with them currently
Congratulations on the new ride there @CreditCuriosity. Though I must admit I'm more jealous of the palm trees. It's snowing up here in ohio now. One of these days. Enjoy that new car.
