So Im considering applying for a Car Loan soon. Need one. I have in the past paid off 2 car loans with no missed payments, so hoping that will help. Anyway, I have my EQ frozen due to enough inquiries on it from NFCU (pull happy!) So naturally, its my lowest score. Plan on obtaining so offers before heading to the dealership, but Im wondering will it be a problem if they can only pull reports from 2 bureaus. Dont see why it would, but you never know! Dont want to unfreeze it, and rather they pull my best score anyway. Thoughts?

The lender always chooses who they want to pull, whether its 1 bureau or all 3. If you're lucky, they pull 1 and its not EQ. If you're not lucky, they will pull all 3 or just EQ. I believe there is a procedure in place where you unfreeze it for that inquiry. I think it costs you money too. But I'm not 100%.

You may want to unfreeze it before heading out to the dealership.. Most pull EQ. Also, another solution to the problem have a check in hand from a CU before going car shopping? DCU and Penfed seems to have some good deals right now...
