Auto Refi question

Was just approved for auto loan with Cap One. Due to recent Chpt 13 BK discharge my rate is 13.83%. My question is how long should I wait before attempting to refinance for a lower rate? Appreciate any help

Re: Auto Refi question

I was told at least 6 months and as long as you're score is a little better than when you first app I just refi mine and it has been almost 6 months I went from 15% to 3.75% with my CU good luck
Fico=642 Exp=680(perCU) TU=660
Goal=anything over my current scores,,,,,,

Re: Auto Refi question

It's not so much a matter of the time you have had the auto loan but an improvement in FICO scores that qualifies you for a better rate. If you don't have any further delinquencies then your FICO score is likely to improve. Although you didn't say how long ago the BK was as it fades into history you should see score improvement.

Best financial advice I ever got: "Just imagine what an adult would do and do that."

Starting Score: 500's
Current Score: EQ 701 (FICO) TU 721 (FICO) EX 715 (Quizzle)
Goal Score: 760 ALL
