Auto loan

Been wanting to buy my dream car now that I am done with my kids sending them to school with steady jobs. I had a rental property in Las Vegas that was thrashed and abandoned by renters. Got it fixed, rented again but later on made a late to non payment of rent. So I was  making the payments until the property value went down with the same monthly payment. Well, to make the story short we let go of the property. Now I have a foreclosure record.

I make good income and so is my wife and we can afford a $100,000 car but my problem is the foreclosure. How can I get approve or what should I do now in the meantime. I don't think I could wait 7 years to get my dream car.

Need your expert advice.

Thanks.

Re: Auto loan

In general, 100K cars are odd beasts to finance to begin with.

Lets be honest they are not a Ford Focus.

They are not the car you have to have to do your daily life.

Banks are going to be very cautious when looking at someone's credit and issuing a line for one.

In most cases they expect you to have an Excellent credit report and in many cases an awesome down payment.

There are rarely "rebates," and no one offers 0% financing.

But that really depends on the vehicle:

I think if you were buying a midlevel AUDI A8- there would be conventional financing available through AUDI or the banks that specialise in high amount cars.

A Ford GT- you are going to be expected to have a significant amount down.

Maybach- I don't think they finance them.other then through specialised finance companies.

So it really depends on the dream car you are buying and how functional it is.

US BANK is probably not going to risk financing a Lamborghini for just everyone.

Yes an expensive vehicle has such a value, but a lot of banks do not want to have 200K sunk into a vehicle, and then worry about trying to recoup it if you default, and to be honest if you default you probably do not have the ability to pay back the loss on it.

What kinda car you looking at?

Re: Auto loan

Thanks, USMC

I am looking for a porsche carrera to lease or buy it

At least 2 years old to brand new one.

If I had known it would be this difficult to get one, I wish I just hanged on with that rental property in Las Vegas. It was the value of the house that erked me to let go of it. I thought it was an investment.

This is my dream car that I always wanted to have in my garage and it is not going to be a daily use car. I have one for that purpose.

I will go to the proper channel to get one and could put down $10K

I had a 944 before but was wrecked by my son. And I dreamed of owning one again but I waited unitl

my kids are done with their school and got a steady job.
