Best loan where they won't pull Equifax...

In the last 20-ish months, I have had 3 vehicles totalled!

Dec 2013:   95 BMW...PIF...driver slammed me & totalled car.

**Jan 2014...loan thru NFCU...got a 97 BMW

Dec 2014...driving home from work...deer walked out in front of me....totalled (although both BMW's actually got me home! amazing cars)

**Jan 2015...loan thru NFCU...got a 1 owner, 05 Audi A4 Quattro, 55k mi, loaded ...gorgeous!

May 2015....after making only 2 payments, some dumba$$ ran the red light & totalled my car! I am not a violent person at 5'0 & 104 lbs, but I wanted to inflict some pain!!!

**Late may...loan thru NFCU...dealer check good for 60 days.

Now it's today.  I have still not found a replacement.  That check has expired & now they want to pull my credit AGAIN!

This is killing me.

Right now, my Auto 08 scores are EQ - 694, TU - 734 & EX - 754

Navy Fed won't budge on that EX pull.  Any ideas who I can go through, knowing they won't pull EQ??

Re: Best loan where they won't pull Equifax...

DCU will pull EQ but give best rate with 675 EQ, so if it's just score you're concerned with, there's that.

dt3813...thanks, but there's no way I can buy new...:0(

I went to that pull database & I see DCU will use Experian if you ask.  I'm not a member yet, but I'll become one if it can get me a better loan!!

No advice on EX pull, except maybe its worth another pull to keep the loan with NFCU?  I agree its a shame to take a pull and not get a benefit from it because the check expired before finding another car, but I have heard that NFCU is great and I would like to be a member, but cant.  I am an Army Vet but didnt retire there so not eligible, but wish I could be.

Just a comment - you seem to be unlucky with cars being totalled lately.  However, you didnt mention any injuries, so those cars have been pretty good at protecting you in that way.

Maybe you can take a different route to get where you need to go?  It almost seems like there is a transparent bulls eye on your hood.  Maybe check the next car with a black light before buying it, just to be sure?  j/k

GL with the car hunt, and maybe get the Gap insurance?

Re: Best loan where they won't pull Equifax...

asbinjax....By the time I needed another loan, the Audi was paid off & my new loan is 2.9%  Still wasn't finding the car I wanted, but I had to get something...pulled the trigger on a nice older Honda CR-X.  $4k!  No complaints...sold my truck that needed work soon & life is good.

Best thing...it's RED !!!

Now they can't claim they didn't see me!  Plus AWD so that will be good for winter too.

(I still miss that A4 with every fiber of my being!)  :0(
