My lease is coming due and I’ve decided to buyout the lease for various reasons. I bank with BoA and saw a nice rate for a lease buyout loan thus applied and was instantly DENIED. They cited denial due to derogs from 2012 (lates) yet with a 747 FICO. I was astonished and even questioned my creditworthiness.
The next day I went to a local CU and was gladly approved for the buyout loan with 3% APR. Moral of the story, don’t waste your time with BoA if your reports arent spotless.
