Me and DW both refinanced our cars with BofA last week and simply put, it was incredible. I know BofA doesn't get much love in the customer service side of things but I could not be more pleased. DW's app went pending for 11 hours then approved and mine was instantly approved. Both existing loans were paid off within 48 hours (they overnighted the checks) and it was as simple as it could be. Here's details:
Mine
2011 vehicle; 38K miles
Old loan: Chase 72 months @ 6.59%
Score pulled by BofA: 799 Equifax
New Loan: BofA 60 months @ 2.99%
DW's
2009 vehicle; 53K miles
Old loan: Capital One Auto 60 months @ 10.08%
Score pulled by BofA: 717 Equifax
New Loan: BofA 60 months @ 3.49%
The only surprise for us was the Equifax pulls. I felt sure they would pull Experian. Nonetheless, I couldn't be happier with the service or the rates considering they were both refi's and not purchases. We both cut our interest rates in at least half or more so we're both excited about that, as well. Happy car & rate shopping all!
