So out of curiousity, I submitted a pre-qualificaiton app, which has no effect on your credit. I am not planning on financing a vehicle until end of the year or early 2016 but i was bored. I completed the application and it stated "Congratulations! You're eligible for an Auto Navigator pre-qualification offer!" We need to verify additional information before we can proceed. What does that mean? What more could they ask me? Thank you.

No it does not. It's a soft pull. They just pre qualified me for $25,000. It's a hard pull when you bring it to the dealership. But I'm going to wait until January or Feb 2016 and apply again. I just wanted to see what I could get now.
