Hey guys, quick question for you.
I was pre-approved for Capital One and found a vehicle on 1/20. I printed the letter and took it to the dealership and they only sent it to Cap One and they said they were given a go from Cap One. Fast-forward a week later. I still haven't heard anything from Cap One and they don't have any of my information in there systems for a new account. Does it take this long for them to setup the account or should I be concerned?
I did all the paperwork on 1/20 and drove the car home the same night. Thanks for your time.
It typically takes 10-14 days for most auto loans to be set up and for you to receive paperwork. If it takes longer, the dealer's finance department is probably lagging.

Thanks so much. I was beginning to worry and I waiting to have it registered until it was funded.
I just bought a truck in mid december and financed through Toyota Financial. It took close to a month before I could access my account online. I had previously financed my wife's car through Cap1 a few years ago and if i recall it took a while to access it. The first payment was coming close to being due before I could set it up. Like someone earlier posted I think the dealerships get behind sending the paperwork off.
Purchased a 2019 vehicle 7/1/19. It took 3 weeks to post. Statement cut 7/25 with a 8/15 due date.
Capital One Auto is a little behind right now. Someone totalled my PARKED car 11/11. Their insurance paid them off 12/23. It took them until 1/9 to close out my account and 2/12 to cut me an overpayment check.
Purchased a new 2021 on 2/1 and finally see my account today 2/16.
