Went truck shopping with a blank check from Navy Federal at 3.99%.
Dealership finance guy said he could beat it and I didn't believe him. I gave him permission to try.
Sure enough, Capital One wrote it at 3.2% with a longer term!
TU8 score 772, I believe that they used an auto enhanced version that came back at 762.
Congrats on the approvals ! Was NFCU financing their "new truck" rate ?
Sweet ! It's always good to be pre approved by your local bank/credit union and have them try and beat it 👍. Job well done. How many pulls did dealer do ?
Dont leave us in suspense ... lol we need details of the new truck ! Work truck ? Supercharged Raptor ??

Congrats!
I sell cars. Someone came in last week with 3.74 from USAA on a used car for 72 months. Wayyyy too high. I got them 2.74 for 72 months. Through a credit Union. A lot of people don't know this. But if you have a pre approval from your lender and the dealership uses them for financing your rate will be exactly the same. If Pnc says 3.24 and you go to the dealer. The Pnc rate will still be 3.24 and you save yourself the trouble of the back and forth with paperwork

Dealer did two. Sent it to Cap One who did six.
Wells Fargo did two.
2016 F150 XLT 4x4. Occasional light weight homeowner truck use.... trips to the hardware store, help one of the kids change apartments, etc. Primary duty is to serve as a third vehicle whatever morning DW or I need it.
OK. It's a toy. ![]()
That's a sharp looking truck. I love that color, and in fact my next truck (when I get ready to retire my 2015 F150 XLT) will be a blue.
Enjoy!
