Co-signing for a loan

I recently co-signed for an auto loan for my grandson.  Will this affect my FICO score immediately?

Assuming the rest of your history is clean, the effect of this loan on your FICO score should be modest.  However, to protect yourself do make sure you have access to the account information at the lender's website so that each month you can verify that your grandson has paid on time!
