I am currently a college student and looking at buying a car. My current fico scores are TU = 716 EX = 712. I only have 2.2 years of credit history and no open loans. My utilization is at 6% and I have no negatives. I plan on putting down either $2000 or $2500. I'm wondering what my chances of getting approved are?

It depends on a lot. How much does the car cost and and what is your gross income? A lot of dealers will offer first time buyers programs and that usually requires around 10% down, up or down depending on their specific requirements. Your FICOs are good, but there is so much more that factors into it then just that. Most lenders also like to see a least 1 year at your job.
