Desperately need to buy a new car , old one no longer runs and can't be repaired been waiting months while closing on a house so as not to screw up mortgage. Auto credit scores mid score js 675. Income 120k annually , been at the same job for 17 years. Where do I look now ?
DCU or any local credit unions.
Who do you bank with it? I would try them first. Don't be discouraged by cap one they denied me awhile back yet I got several offers from my CUs with great rates .

+1
Cap One has changing co-brand portfolios, just did a large round of CLD on Core an Co-brand cards. Seems they are quite focused on current financials. Don't be discouraged, CU are still willing to give.

So have you already closed on your house? If not, didn't your LO advise you not to apply for any new credit? Regardless, I hope it all turns out well for you.

Yes we are all closed and funded . It's why I've been waiting months to buy despite no longer having a driveable car
Credit unions. If you're in one, talk to them. If not, join one, either local or one of the big national ones as mentioned upthread. If I recall correctly on PenFed's site, new car loans are as low as 2.17% and recent model used in the 2.5% range.
What kind of car are you looking at? With your score you may be able to get a subverted rate through the brands captive.
credit unions
i had same issue with banks with a lower score than yours.......credit union was easy as pie
dealers wanted 13-17%.....navy fed gave me 7% and just refinanced thru pen fed @ 4%....this all within 6 months
