Hello,
I posted on here to see if i could get any more information that may help me refinance my car.
Right now i have a 2015 nissan versa, i had no credit history so i had to get a co-sign which i did. Was approved and have been making my payments 1 1/2 years now through chase bank.
The loan was ~16K for 66 months, now its ~11K left. Ive made 100% of my payments on time, and 1/2 of my payments have been double and even triple payments. I have no other debt, or credit history. Currently sitting on a credit score of 650 -> 675 depending on who you look at.
I was denied by chase bank because of too many inquires in my history, total of 8, all were on the same day from when i got approved for the loan for the car, the dealership sent my application to 8 banks to see who would approve. Which chase bank did. Which now after 1 1/2 years i figured it was time to see if i could get refinanced. I make just over $30K and have $0 in rent to pay. So pretty much 1 paycheck a month pays all my bills/gas/food...etc The next 3 paychecks goes right into my pocket. Have had the same job for 7 years straight.
Im actually thinking about just paying 6-7 months ahead of time but i would really like to get my co-signer off the loan, and they would too.
Join a credit union. They will probably offer you much better rates than Chase would and they would be more than understanding of the inquiries.
100% agree with joining DCU. They don't seem to be overally sensitive to inquiries, and you may be able to get a good rate without having a great score. I was denied a refi by them upon joining, but then they approved one just two months later
yeah i can try DCU, my aunt is with them so she can get me in.
Funny thing is today, 5 of those inquires were dropped off my account >.>

You don't need to have a relationship with a DCU member to become a member yourself. Just join one of the listed organizations on their site and pay $5 and they'll start to process your application..
