Have two unpaid collection accounts from 2003, they are not mine but keep coming back verified. Two satisfied judgments from 2002.  3 neg accounts from 2005, that are paid. 3 accounts in good standing, reporting paid as agreed. No lattes in 3 years & 10 months. No outstanding debt. No mortgage. Gross monthly income $5500.

Looking to finance 20K-25K,   4K as down payment

Currently driving a 1998 Windstar with 204,000.

I think you would have a better chance at getting approved for a lower amount.

You'll be approved. My credit scores are below and 2 days ago, I was approved for an amount in that range. Not sure what will happen rate wise though.

You seem to be in the range that Ford Credit would accept. I am not sure if you are looking to buy a Ford though.

Oddly enough, I just financed my new Mazda3 (Tuesday) through Ford Credit.

From Yahoo answers:Mazda is not wholly owned by Ford, but Ford is probably the biggest share holder, therefore there is alot of sharing of parts such as new 2.3 L engine is Mazda design, (Ranger and focus) Ranger trucks use mazda trannies I think, Ford helped mazda out when they were falling behind in early 90s. Ford's new car is based loosely on Mazda 6, etc... Ford did / does plant sharing here is USA. Probe and MX6, Ranger B-series, Escape Tribute.

So there you have it.
