Equifax scores

Does anyone know what lenders (auto loans) pull Equifax?  According to CreditKarma, my EQ score is about 30 points higher than TU.

Re: Equifax scores

What are your actual FICO scores, specifically auto-enhanced scores? CK can be VERY misleading and I wouldn't judge my financing option's soley off a CK EQ score.

With your real FICO/auto-enhanced scores we may be able to point you in a better direction for the best financing available to your situation.

Re: Equifax scores

Don't know which auto lenders pull EQ, but I doubt there are many that use the Vantage model - which is what Credit Karma gives you.

You need your FICO scores -- which may differ greatly from your Vantage scores. Fico is what the vast majority of lenders use to score applicants.

My FICOs are nearly 100 points higher than Vantage. My EQ Vantage is my highest of all 3 Vantage scores; my EQ FICO is my lowest of all 3 FICO scores.
My EQ report is the only one showing a tax lien (which is usually an auto-denial reason for any app, credit or otherwise).

Don't judge approval potential on Vantage scores.

Re: Equifax scores

CreditSesame is 547 and Credit Karma shows TU to be 547 and EQ 571.  I know they're horrible.  But they've actually come up and they both are showing recent increases of at least 10 points.  I have no idea what FICO is or the FICO Auto score.

My local bank has approved me for up 10 $10,000 on a loan with 10% down (plus tax, title, and reg) at 14.75% (yes I know high but at least it's an offer).  I tried 2 out of my 3 credit unions (still waiting on DCU).  RBFCU and A+ were a straight up denial.

Just trying to get a used car loan no more than 36 mos. something around $7k.  I've already found a specific vehicle, just trying to work the numbers and see if I could get better rate somewhere else.  I'd prefer in my name only and not have to drag a co-signer into it.

Re: Equifax scores

I understand and I'm sorry, I can't help in the auto loan department -- never had one. I just wanted to make sure you were aware that Credit Karma scores can sometimes lead you astray.

You may want to consider springing for a one-time 3-Bureau pull from myFICO-- just so you know exactly where you stand with your FICO auto scores (they could be lower or higher than regular FICO8) for all bureaus and, hopefully, give others here the best info to help.
