Re: Even Roadloans.com denied me

IMO don't bother with boa. If all these other places denied, boa probably will as well. Try open sky. From what I gather they don't check credit.

Are you a US citizen? (Often banks deny non-permanent residents, so I was wonderting if residency/citizenship status is a factor here)

What exactly are you putting as income on credit applications? And why exactly is your score so low? Are you in an active BK or have a tax or child support lien by any chance?

A co worker just said the exact same thing you said. I make 1800 a month so that's what I've been putting down.

What was the reason that Credit One turned you down? It would have a reason on the letter they sent to you.

Re: Even Roadloans.com denied me

Consider trying to find a dealership that works with subprime lending. You're most likely going to find it beneficial for you since the banks tend to be more lenient. Just be prepared----your interest rates are not going to look pretty. That's just the one thing that's out of our hands =/ But I would advise trying to apply with Auto Credit Express only because they can find the lender for you. But otherwise, continue to stay committed to your bills. For some reason, when I applied for a credit card for the first time ever, I expected to not have credit at all but it turns out I had a 720 because of a silly Victoria Secret credit card that I applied for with the cashier ( I never even used the card). Maybe it was just luck? --idk. Don't count me on it for sure.. But you could fnd these deals at Target and such.

Good luck!

Re: Even Roadloans.com denied me

This whole thing has been ongoing for week with me trying to get credit in anything. I went to my local credit union, the one me and my husband has been with for over 10 years and they denied me as well. I went to my local dealership after going to 6 others and was told I need 1500 to put down. I think I'm done trying to do anything. Capital one denied me for a secured card. Guess Opensky is my only hope.

Re: Even Roadloans.com denied me

My advice would be to save and buy a lesser cost vehicle, ANY vehicle that runs and gets you to work etc.

Then pay down any outstanding debt or recent collections (PFD), if any, and save. Open an account at one if the major banks that have secured product. Show them you can save and live with your means. Let some of these IQ's fade, and find a secure card, many mentioned here, and start building that will likely take you years.

Any car you get is going to be with a 20+% interest rate as it in turn falls in value. Just doesn't make financial sense to me...sorry and good luck!
