I was approved last June for two different car loans to refiance both thru DCU. I was looking thru my in box today and noticed the messages about the reward program (Rate Reduction) each quarter I would receive a new message about my rate being lowered a 1/4 %. Max rate reduction is 1.50%. I spoke to a rep on chat and she told me it was only 1%, which I argued that is not what I have printed out in front of me. Told her I would call in because I was quite upset. Calling into DCU, spoke to a gentleman whom put me on hold for almost a half hour, to look into this matter , he reassurred me that I was still getting my rate reductions but the program was no longer in effect, which is a shame, I always referred friends to them because I thought this was wonderful to be rewarded for on time payments, the payment doesn't go down, but the interest rate saves some money each quarter when they change it on my loan. For some they can get the best rate but I have been working on my credit, and scores are going up slowly.
Just thought I would let others know since DCU failed to notify any customers about this perk which has disappered.
I normally do not post anything, but have done alot of reading and this site has helped me in my credit journey, I love to see all the successes on here and all the insight to rebuilding credit profiles.
