My FICO scores are in the 640 - 670 range. But it has been 10 years since the last time I financed a car. (I've been functioning on a cash-only basis for most of that time; only recently have I begun rebuilding my credit.) I am going to be purchasing a new vehicle within the next 2 weeks.
My question is this: What kind of score can I expect on my Enhanced score, given that no vehicle purchases will be on it? Should it be about the same as my regular FICO scores? Or does it weight other things differently, too? I have a couple of old collections and quite a few missed payments, but everything is clean for the past 2 1/2 years. And I have a $180,000 mortgage that's 1 year old, with a perfect history.
I've been pre-approved by Capital One for $40,000 at 11% for 72 months, which falls right in line with the myFico projections for my credit level. But I'm hoping to do better than that.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
