Ford 0% Rate Score Needed?

My wife likes the Ford Explorer and has always wanted one since the redesign came out.  I see that Ford Motor Credit has a 0% deal up to 72 months.  What bureau does Ford Motor Credit pull and is it the auto enhanced version?  What score is needed to qualify for 0%?

Does a recent BK discharge disqualify me?  We’ve never had FMC before.

Re: Ford 0% Rate Score Needed?

Sorry I can't answer all of your questions but it seems like in the past they have favored Exp and TU Fico Auto 8. In 2016 someone got 0% down with a score of 710.

Re: Ford 0% Rate Score Needed?

I don't think the finance director will be able to get me 0% but it looks like I may qualify for the 3.9% rate which is still very good.

I'll know more tomorrow....

Re: Ford 0% Rate Score Needed?

The Ford finance director could not get an exception for approval from Ford so we passed.

However we did get an approval on a leftover 2017 GMC Acadia All Terrain.  9.9% with GM Financial and we will refi with PenFed within the month.

I have been striking out with PenFed for two months now trying to get a credit card and figured try once more with a new auto loan.  Low and behold we were approved on this Acadia but not quite for the full amount, short by about $2900.   I know the dealer wont budge any more on the Acadia or our trade in.  I tried to get a recon for the remaining that we need but they cited income.  My wife accepted a job but it wont start for a month so I can’t count her income.   The rate with PenFed will be 7.3%. I am getting a bonus at work later this month so we may just pay it down by that much and have PenFed do a new auto refi. It’s either that or we wait until my wife starts in a month and we add her income and do the refi then.    Either way they said our approval will still stand.  😊

My wife likes both the Acadia and the Explorer but she likes the Acadia more.  We looked at several across the state and she kept going back to this All Terrain version.  We are picking it up tomorrow.  What’s funny is this one is at a second dealership from the original.  The first dealer had us approved but was only on a 2017 SLE-2 trim and it’s out the door was about $100 MORE than the dealer we are getting ours at.  I tried to get the first dealer to budge, even sending the competing buyers order over, and they wouldn’t budge.   Oh well.

Not bad for 2 months post discharge.
