Ford Raptor Financing

Hello Everyone,

I am in the process of purchasing a 2018 Ford Raptor with the total amounting to $77k with taxes and licensing included. I’ve made larger purchases through my company in the past ranging from $55k up to $120k however this time I’d like to purchase the vehicle personally so I can show the trade line on my personal report as all the other purchases I’ve made are under my corporation.

I’ve applied with Navy Federal & Alaska USA and both of them declined for the same reason not enough credit history and a few late payments from a few years ago. I purchased another vehicle about a year and a half ago for $40k and didn’t have any issues getting financing.

I can put down between $10-14k, my income is $85k and I’m floating around 660 score with 25% utilization.

Any insight to a auto finance company who uses Transunion as that’s my highest score or any other suggestions would be appreciated.

In Texas, RBFCU uses TU.

Getting your score increased by lowering your utilization would help your chances.

Why buy a car that is equal in value to 90% of your annual income? That is tying way too much money up in something that's value will only go down.

I have a FICO score of 540, I make good money (100K+ a year) and have a good history with Ford Credit (2 years worth) . I went to the Ford dealership here in Orlando a few days ago and saw a new Raptor priced at almost 80K. I applied, surprisingly got approved through Ford Credit and had to put 15K down, my payment is about 1200.00 a month. There is hope

Ficotommy, that's the beauty of manufacturer financing. Apparently once you are in... you're in for life regardless of your credit. Just don't ever burn them.
