$18k refi-loan, 2.24% APR that goes down to 1.74% as soon as I set up direct deposit
Current loan with Cap1 is at 12.5% APR, been paying for 16 months now
Here are my FICO8 scores at the time of approval
EXP: 665
TU: 685
EQ: 675
I applied late last night, I got an email this morning that I was approved but I needed to upload some documents.
I uploaded the requested documents then called DCU but they weren't able to finalize the refi since I didn't have a DCU membership. They told me to start a membership app, upload the documents for the membership then call back. I am now on the phone on hold with them.
Questions:
- can I add DCU's GAP to the above refi loan?
- I heard some folks got a DCU CC with their DCU loan, do I have to apply for the CC separately?
I was able to include the cost of DCU GAP into the loan, plus I got a $10k visa at 11.5% APR ![]()
Very nice.. Good job and enjoy it.
thank you!
I just got my auto loan refinanced with DCU 2 days ago. After you upload the documents, you're going to have to call them back. During that call, ask if you can also be considered for a Visa Credit Card with the same HP they did for your auto loan. Worked for me. ![]()
As for the GAP, i'm not sure since it was already included in my original Auto Loan with Wells Fargo which DCU covered entirely.

Thanks! yeah, that's what I did, they gave me a $10k Visa card on the same HP, I also added the GAP insurance to my loan.
Quick question. I refi'd my Capital One auto loan with DCU, how soon do I get something from Capital One saying that the loan was paid off?
Do I need to call Capital One to request such document?
