Help!! How worried should I be?

Ok I have awful credit, last month my Experian Score was 551. I went to my local Hyundai Dealership, and after provididing 5 references, paystubs for my wife and myself and 3500 down + a trade valued at 1500 I was approved for and 06 Sonata LX, After all was said and done I ended up financing 11K through Chase at 18% (I absolutely needed to get into a car..new baby)

They could not do the registration on that Sat so I was given a dealer plate and asked to return on Monday to do the regs. On Monday I got a call asking me to come in on Thursday to do the plates, and bring in my phone bill.

What gives?? They took my trade, transferred my insurance...could I end up giving this car back???

Re: Help!! How worried should I be?

Hopefully you've called your dealer and found out where your loan stands,

I know 18% scks but, It looks like you did good with your loan considering the 550 score,

Re: Help!! How worried should I be?

Breathe.

In all reality there was a stipulation missed and someone forgot to ask you for the paperwork then.

Understand- the dealership does not want to "unwind" a car they sold on the last day of the month.  That kills bonus checks for salesmen and managers. They will do everything in their power to make that deal work.

If they needed the car back they would have brought you in immediately as from a liability standpoint they do not want you driving around in their property.

Re: Help!! How worried should I be?

That's because the loan has not been bought yet. Yes you can bring the car back if they haven't got a bank to buy it yet.
