Honda Finance

What FICO score does Honda financial use? I am located in north Florida if that makesa difference. Would a recent bankruptcy disqualify me?

Re: Honda Finance

I secured a loan through American honda about a year ago for my 18 odyssey elite. At that point i was about 4 years post bk and qualified for the .09 financing. Pretty sure thet pulled Equifax if memory serves. Scores were about 690 at that point. Ended just paying the car off but i think your scores and how far out of discharge are biggest factors

Re: Honda Finance

Just returned from the Honda dealer in California trying to negotiate a CPO 2019 Pilot SUV.

The dealer asked for a SOFT PULL on your credit and they will give you actual numbers, interest rates, banks, etc...

This is a great feature - you enter your data on the dealer's site, and the internet sales advisor gets an immediate SP data.

I confirmed they did not do a HP trick - no alerts - no emails from credit bureaus.

They pulled from EXPERIAN.

My app scores on Experian compared to the dealer's SP numbers were spot on, except for the "Auto enhanced" Experian score that was 6 points higher than the consumer score!

I qualfied for Tier 1 rate which was 3.7% rate for 48 months and 20% down.

Sidenote:

Since I have had 3 Honda finance & lease accounts with them in the past and 1 currently, (Honda Clarity) AHFS told the dealer and I that they will not do a HP on this purchase since I am already a customer.

I thought that was a very nice gesture since we are getting a mortgage soon and I was worried about the HP - when I explained it to the dealer, they called AHFS.
