How long before finance company gets lease contract

I purchase a car this week, I will do a thorough review of the buying process and something I've never seen happen before. But my question is how long does it take for the finance company to get paperwork from dealership for the vehicle I purchase? I tried putting my ssn into AFS automatic system but they can't locate an account yet. The dealer said my lease was approved by the system with no stips. So does that mean I'm good to go with AFS? This is my first lease and I don't trust dealerships with financing, I'm use to walking in with my own financing but couldn't do that with a lease. Is there anyway to see my approval with AFS.

Don't be in a rush - your account will show up online after you receive written confirmation & welcome from the leasing company.

My AHFS lease took 5 weeks from the dealer to leasing company before I got access to it online.

I did receive mail for the first month payment which I sent a check.

Then I set my automatic payment and never have accessed that account.

Depends on the lender. Out last two with Infiniti Financial (a purchase in 2014 and a lease in 2018) were signed electronically so the lender had everything immediately. Other purchases were paper contracts and those can take a week or so. Then the lender has to create the account in their system. 7-10 days is pretty normal for a new account to be set up.

You just bought/leased the car this week. Give it some time. The dealer will get it turned into the bank ASAP as they'll want their funding for the vehicle. If you did an e-contract it likely funded the next day. But it still takes time for the lender to recognize you in the system.

Thanks everyone, I know it's only been a few days now but I'm just a little nervous. However I did receive a Congratulations email from Acura.com for my loyalty (Third Acura) and for purchasing my new vehicle. I signed all documents on a ipad in the finance office, does that mean it's being sent electronically to AFS? This whole process was crazy, I literally was at the dealership 40 mins. Granted I submitted my application thru their online website with the WARNING on running my credit thru AFS and he said ok. But review coming soon.

Yes if you signed on an iPad looking device the docs will be sent electronically to Acura. Congrats on the new car.

Update: Called AFS 1-800 number this morning, system located an account from my phone number. So happy can't believe how fast things happen this week. Will post review tonight. 

When will AFS start reporting to the 3 credit bureaus?

What balance is going to be reported to the credit bureaus?
