How quick is DCU auto loan approval?

Since I'm new to the car buying process, how quickly is a loan approved/denied through DCU when you apply online? I had applied to another credit union last week and they just now tell me they want me to have a co-borrower. Not quite what I had in mind now would I want to ask anyone. I'd rather have something in place before the dealership shotguns my info all over the place.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

They told me my DTI is high. They figured in something that I didn't think should/would be figured in: a 401k loan. When I was researching DTI, that transaction wasn't stated to be a part of it, as it's not really a debt. If I don't pay it, they change it to a cash disbursement and I'm taxed out the wazoo. Grrrr! Oh well. *sigh*

Stated income... With ur score they wouldn't ask for POI. Just make sure u can afford payments. Next step guess try penfed credit union just gotta start an account 5 bucks to get an account and 15 for donation if no relationship to any military

I think I was approved in a day or so by DCU. I didn't end up buying a car that day, but started a direct deposit there a few months ago. They ended up soft pulling me for an approval last month and I was able to buy a car on Saturday with no HP. (I suppose you could count the HP I took in Nov to originally get the account)
