I don't get it

So I've been thrown in the market for a new car. And I've discovered vastly different scores from lenders, myfico, fako etc.

Roadloans (approved) Credit Score 716EQ 4.19%

Bank of America (denied) Credit Score 619TU

Capital One (approved) Credit Score 640TU 7.99%

Dealer (approved) Credit Score 640TU

MyFico     733TU

I know some of these are auto-adjusted but WTH. All of these were pulled w/i 3 days of each other.

Welcome!

Toss out the EQ score since the formula is different than TU, plus your report can contain different info. I think CapOne pulls all 3 reports and you might see another EQ example.

More than likely, the TU pullers used an automobile-enhanced FICO not available on myFICO or anywhere and/or they pulled a newer version of TU FICO.

Re: I don't get it

Makes sense. I've never financed a car before.

Took the Roadloans rate to the dealer Monday and the finance manager said she'd either match it or ask me to come back to fill it out. (This was at 10pm). Never heard back from her (the 4th and all) so I called today. She said I was all set at BMO Harris but I won't be comfortable till I see the bill.

Re: I don't get it

Curiosity question, would you mind sharing the dates which you approached each lender?  +1 to everything illecs said, but the BOFA one being lower than the Dealer / Cap One (which were both almost assuredly auto-enhanced) is interesting to me at any rate.

And roadloans at 4.19%  Score? Smiley Happy  I'm so used to their being a subprime auto lender that I forget they (Santander USA) have other products too.

Re: I don't get it

7/2 for everything but the myfico which was today.

Yea I am glad I didn't end up with roadloans b/c of their rep. But yes it was 4.19% with a 716 EQ score (per the packet)
