I just got an alert from scorewatch saying that i had a new inquiry. I didn't know that CU check your CR when joining? My score didn't change, but wondering if they will run my credit once again when I apply for their auto loan?

Every bank and CU i've ever joined checked my credit, especially if you're opening a checking account. I don't think it's that odd.

Some credit unions will use that pull for other things too

For what it's worth, my EX shows a soft pull from my CU from last December. I've been with them for 6½ years. Go figure... And congrats on joining one!

Thanks! It's North Western Federal CU. I was able to join because of my dad. I hope I can get a good rate with what my scores are.
