Hi, I'm looking to get a loan for about $37000 for a used 2014 Chevy Suburban. I do have some credit issues but I was approved at the dealership for a loan at 12.9% for 60 or 72 months. I have paid off a Capital one auto loan about a year ago, so I do have auto loan history with them, but the problem is they dont finance over $30,000.00.
Should I try lending tree, DCU or anything else. Also I have to get this car soon.
I appreciate any tips.
Anyone?
You probably aren't going to like my advice, but here goes anyway: the most common reason(s) for the lower amount of approval are either your income or your debt load.
Since they restricted you to $30k, have you checked to see if that is because of the amount of debt you carry right now? or is it due to your income? If it is debt, pay off the debt and reapply. If it is income, figure out a way to either come up with the cash difference or find a vehicle that will meet your needs given your current income.
Actually Capital one hasn't restrcted me, on their site you can't apply for a loan for more than $30,000.00...They may have different limits for different states, but in NY it shows $30k.
