My vehicle purchase

So I started out by getting prequalified for an auto loan through navy federal. Approved for 72 months at 3.34%.

To get all the rebates on my new 2017 explorer sport, I had to finance through ford. I was approved through ford @8% for 72 months with $3,500 back or 0% for 60 months with $1,000 back.

In the end I chose the 8% for 72 months with $3,500 rebate. Now I've refinanced with nfcu back to the 3.34%.

The 0% was tempting but I like the payment a hundred dollars cheaper with nfcu.

Fwiw ford pulled my fico 8 auto scores and nfcu pulled me equifax fico 5 mortgage score.

Fico 5 was 628
Fico 8 auto was 670

Forgot to add. I used my nfcu cash rewards card for the 12k down payment. They gave me $200 for spend bonus plus $190 for the 1.5% cash back, plus another $200 for refinancing through them!!!

Wow, the dealership allowed you to put 12K on a credit card? Where the heck was this?

Congrats on the purchase and thank you for buying an American branded vehicle. If yours is white though, don't get mad at people driving slow around you. Those darn things look like cop cars

Thats actually a very smart, but ballsy move... go for the $3500 rebate with the too high APR, then refi right away .... pretty sure that dealership is not going to be very happy with you

Went with magnetic grey with the black trim. Sport model. Twin turbo.

Was a little bit of a gamble but I felt safe because it was nfcu. The finance guy knew what I was doing. He left nfcu to go to ford. Lol
