NEED POINTS FOR AUTO LOAN, ANY HELP WELCOME

I have 14 accounts with balances (crazy i know), i can pay off 7 of them by the end of the month, and possibly 2 more by the middle of next month. willl i see any score boost with these pay offs? Even with the 14 balances , my uti is still <13% overall, but even if i pay off the 7-9 cards, i still wont be at 9%. My scores are EQ 667, TU 664. I need as many points as possible to secure a 5.25% with my credit union for 17,000 auto loan. I would like to apply forr the loan at the end of june. I also have 7 accounts with birthdays this month, will i see any points with this? My dti ratio is about 28-30% including the estimated car loan and my salary is about 45,000 a year. I only have 2000 for the down payment, but im asking for 17,000 to make sure that i have some wiggle room eventhough i dont think i will use the entire 17,000. I am looking at a 2009 Elantra. Is there any thing else any one can think of that might get me a few points. Does anyone have any estimate of how many points i might see, and hopefully my reports will all update quickly. I have 3 collections all ove 2.5 years old and i cant get them removed so that isnt an option. thanks in advance for all responses.

Re: NEED POINTS FOR AUTO LOAN, ANY HELP WELCOME

Reducing the number of accounts with a balance can only help your FICO.  Reducing the utilization can only help, but getting uner 11% is your next threshhold.

Aging of your accounts usually helps your FICO.

The possible FICO downsides:  If you get rebucketed, you could see only minimal score increases, or even some FICO score drop short term.  But, that being said, there is no way to avoid it if it happens.

Good credit is always the same recipe.  Establish credit, conservative use, low number of balances, low DTI and utilization, age, payment history, etc.
