I posted under the auto loan approvals thread, but had to share my recent experience with Navy Federal CU. I have been thinking of getting a new car. The dealer is running a 1.9% for 36 mths special which is due to end soon. My husband thought I couldn't get better than that but how wrong he was! I checked out NFCU online and their lowest rate is 1.79%. You can fill out and online app but I decided to call. The process took about 20 minutes and I was instantly approved for $20K, at 1.79% for up to 60 months. The dealership was amazed and I am thrilled.
I know for a fact that if you treat your accounts with NFCU with respect they will definitely rewward you for it! They are an awesome credit union.
My EQ score is 683. Credit has some old paid chargeoffs still on it that are due to drop off later this year but other than that payment history for the past 5 years is spotless.
