Hi, folks! Navy Federal pre-approved me yesterday for 2.29% on 72 months for up to $40,000! And only like ... $400 for GAP! It took literally five minutes and I was at the branch picking up the draft check half an hour later. Their interest rates are stupid low right now!!!
Data:
EQ 722
Utilization 20%
Inquiries: Like, lol ... 20?
After seven hours of vicious negotiation at the dealership, with me walking away and literally driving off the lot twice, I got my brand new vehicle for the total out-the-door cost of the invoice price! I hear that they have a great car buying service, but if you're as ruthless as I am, you might do better on your own. ![]()
Can't beat that, I'm tempted to see what they can do for me.
Wow. I applied Wed night and got email stating that I was denied but no HP. Looked at my EQ and saw I had it froze along with TU. I apped again last night and have not received anything from them as of this writing. I made sure yestery that my Eq was thawed so we'll see. Does NFCU give instant approval or does everyone wait?
Yeah same happened to me. It's because their systems are a little bit bogged down with all this coronavirus stuff. Call them -- that's what I had to do -- and she just zapped it right through!

Thanks will try calling later.
Great rate, I should have waited! Does anyone know the credit score range you need for this?
I had applied over the phone with NFCU two days ago. They made notation to pull EQ since they were having trouble verifying me with TU because I believe I have a split file with TU. Got a message that my EQ was frozen and to thaw. It was already thawed but whatever. Yesterday I I was notified from my Credit Karma that a new inq from Navy hit on my EQ. I have not heard anything as of today however. My EQ is 725 DTI is like 4% and utilization is like 8%. I have had 8 inqs in the last year and some new accounts hit in December and January but thats it. Dont know why this is taking so long.lol

I would like to know also
It will depend on more than just a score though. Having siad that, if you're between 720 and 800 you should have a shot.
