Need help with a Santander issue

I purchase a car with my mother cosigning with me when times where good. Then the bottom fell out and I was completely broke. $520 a month or eating was a no brainer. The car was reposed. It went to sale and sold. Getting papers here and there.  Well now we want a house and it on my report. I contact them. Make an agreement I can't pay them the $12500 they want. We agreed on $6800 so they would stop reporting it on my credit and we would be cleared to get a home. I took the money out of my 401k to pay it off. (Now I have to pay that back. Another payment) after 3 months and calls they took me to a $0 balance but they are still not doing what they said and stopping reporting it. The wife and I just had a baby and we went and looked at a car. Run my report and guess what its still there! The guy at the dealership said I should have just kept my money cause it was still there as a report with a settlement. Is there ANYWAY to get this taken off???? I HATE SANTANDER!!!!!!!

So they agreed to stop reporting it as unpaid ? Or to completely delete it from your reports ? What did you get in writing from them ? Was this the original creditor or a collection agency that you were dealing with ?
