Need to buy a car soon....Help!

I recently hit a man who failed to yield to me on the highway, and I want to purchase a new vehicle. Should I obtain financing through my bank or through the car company? I want to limit inquiries as I just got over 700 on my TU and EQ reports. Is my CS adequate enough to get approved and get decent terms?

Re: Need to buy a car soon....Help!

If you are looking to purchase a new vehicle, then most dealerships right now are offering very low subvented rates. Typically, at a dealer, if you are going to obtain financing through the dealers financing arm, you will have 1 original pull at the dealer, and 1 additional pull by the lender itself. If you use a bank, you will likely on have one. Credit unions right now are offering great rates as well - in the 2.5-3.5% range for good credit/new car.

As for approval, your scores are fine, but we would need more details to determine your approval chances. What is your monthly DTI ratio, how long on your job, self employed?

I guess I don't need help after all! I went to the same bank that financed 2 cars in the past, and they gave me 3.75% on my purchase, and they only pulled TU which had no inq on it. I was able to get the car at the price I negotiated, too! Whoo hoo!
