Took out a 60-month car loan 3 years ago and just made the last payment. I stretched it out for as long as I could before I said enough. Good Riddance. I'm just curious how much my Fico Scores will drop because of it. The other installment loan that I have is my Mortgage plus credit cards.ds
Congrats ! Must feel nice to not have a payment anymore . I just bought the wife a car last September and my goal for 2021 is to hopefully pay it off as well . Congrats again and enjoy that extra change in your pocket !

Thank you Fico 82. I will say this though, the Wells Fargo website leaves much to be desired. Before I made the payment yesterday, it showed that I had a balance of $684.39. So when I paid my normal monthly payment of $667 for the 1/22/2021 period, I was under the impression I had another $17 or so left. To my chagrin, I logged in and the Auto Loan was nowhere to be found on their website. Also, when I called their auto system, my loan was nowhere to be found as well. I finally got someone on the phone and they told me my payment I made more than covered the payoff amount of $661.60 and once the payment posts, it will close the account. You would think, I could access the car loan on their website for at least another week or so to access documents. That's Wells Fargo for you I guess.
@joeyv1985 congrats on paying the loan a couple of years early! Nice achievement! I know the possible loss of several points sucks, but this is still a major success ![]()

Thank you Ron. At this point, I'll just do a little gardening, pay off chunks of the principal off my mortgage, save money, etc. At some point, those points lost from paying off this loan will come back, so I'm not too worried. Maybe in 3 years I'll pick up another vehicle, but at this stage, nothing wrong with staying in a holding pattern. Cheers.
Love it! Congratulations!
